Plot Summary

The film tells the love story between a doctor and a much younger painter, a love story in which, at the end, it is not clear who used whom. "What a happy world!" it is the terminus of a cinematic tetra-logy that began with "On the Left Bank of the Blue Danube", continued with "Figures" and "No One Lives Here", a fresco of Romanian society over the course of five decades.—Canon y mus
