Having always wanted to be event-planners themselves, New York sisters Brooke and Margot Bennett hit a professional low when they're fired from their server jobs for high-end event planner Paige Monaghan during a Christmas party. Now with nothing to do for the Christmas season, they use their life savings to travel to Ireland to search out their unknown Irish roots, of which they have only recently learned as their now-deceased father, who was adopted, discovered scant information about his biological family during his lifetime. In Ireland, the sisters meet Aiden Hart, then later learn that he's the Earl of Glaslough, a title he reluctantly inherited, feeling unworthy, unlike his late father, the former Earl. Aiden does his globetrotting work as an architect largely to escape everything associated with earlhood, while his sister Siobhan manages the Hart estate centered on Castle Hart. He has just unexpectedly returned to Ireland for the holidays after five years away, during which the castle has been converted into a hotel, the business of which and holding guided tours pays the bills. Their financial situation hasn't even let them repair the chapel yet after it was structurally damaged in a storm. This year they hope to pay the bills by hosting the most lucrative, lavish Christmas gala at the castle on behalf of the Duchess of Abercorn instead of their usual Christmas event, the more community-oriented Twelfth/Last Day of Christmas festivity for the town. Their event planner quits at the last minute, and they beg the Bennett sisters to step in to organize the event to be held in 10 days on the presumption that not only are they high-end New York event planners, but also that Brooke is *the* Paige Monaghan. While uncomfortable with the lie, Brooke agrees on Margot's urging both to help the Harts out of a bind, and knowing that they could plan an event of this magnitude. While Margot will largely handle the logistics at the castle, Brooke will handle the creative end with Siobhan assigning Aiden to be her liaison for whatever she may need. In spending time together, Brooke (as Paige) and Aiden start to fall for each other. Will a relationship between them even be a possibility when the truth is revealed?And would this lie cost the sisters their dream to be real New York event planners?—Huggo

David and Charlotte have agreed the Christmas gift-giving between the two will be low key, and partly due to his preoccupation with work, he ends up getting her a gift card. Convinced by his best friend and associate Callum that he needs to get Charlotte something special as this first-ever Christmas gift if he wants brownie points with her but more importantly make a good impression on boss and potential father-in-law Simon, David decides to hire personal shopper and aspiring writer Anji Patel, into whom he has constantly run over the last few days out and about in London. Behind the scenes, Anji is being pressured by her loving parents, Nalini and Sirish Patel, to one day take over their London-pub family business if and when the writing doesn't pan out. Unable to provide her with much information about Charlotte to purchase a meaningful gift on her own, Anji convinces David to take time out of his busy schedule to accompany her shopping. In the process, they get into one misadventure after another in their extended time together at the possible expense of his first big work project at Fitzsimmons. Also, David and Anji make an emotional connection, the difficulty in he even knowing what would be a meaningful gift for Charlotte in combination which may provide some insight into his future with the Fitzsimmons as a collective.—Huggo
