Philippe Bartek (Artus), Stella (Camille Lou) and Alexandre (Louka Meliava) live in Monaco and are children of a millionaire dad Francis (Gérard Jugnot). Stella shops a lot; Philippe parties all night and Alexandre sleeps around.
Stella is dating Juan Carlos (Tom Leeb). Juan is supposed to be a rich kid, with his family money tied up in Argentina. He doesn't have a job and plans to use Francis's money to enjoy a long honeymoon with Stella. Despite Francis's objections, Stella announces her engagement to Juan.
Ferruccio (François Morel) works for Francis and is his most trusted advisor and a godfather to the kids. Francis knows his kids are spoiled as they were raised by a single dad (his wife died 15 years ago).Philippe brings the craziest business ideas (A shoe that fits, a service to "walk-in" the shoes, by having other people wear it till the leather settles and the shoes are comfortable to wear). Francis is very patient with his kids, even though he knows they are spoiled. Marguerite (Colette Kraffe) is the house maid for Francis, along with Matthias (Joffrey Verbruggen).
Alexandre sleeps with the wife of his college's dean. The dean Mr. Guillaume Rombi is best friends with Francis and is enraged when he finds about Alexandre's antics. Only to find that Alexandre was also sleeping with the dean's 2 daughters, together.Francis has a heart attack and still all his kids can do is fight among themselves and be selfish. One day, a police squad attacks the Francis house and Francis barely manages to escape with his kids. He explains that he moved money out of the company, which constitutes willful fraud, and now all accounts are frozen. Francis says Ferruccio conducted the fraud, which landed them on the arrest list. They have to escape Monaco and enter Marseille. Francis makes them give up their cells, saying that they can be tracked by the police.Francis takes them to his father's villa in a village on the outskirts of town. Its in a bad shape and they have no money. They eat bread soaked in wine for dinner. Francis says they need to get jobs to eat dinner the following day.
Alexandre tries at the construction site but can't get a job. Philippe approaches his party friends about his shoe idea, and they refuse to give him any money. Meanwhile Stella steals Philippe's watch, sells it and goes shopping. Stella calls Juan and says she is holidaying in Morocco and calls Marguerite, who brings Matthias and supplies.
Francis sends them away.Philippe goes to an employment exchange, where he demands a senior manager position, has no qualifications, wants a company car and a starting salary of 15000 euros a month. Philippe gets the job of a rickshaw drive for 1500 euros a month. Matthias gets Stella a job as a dishwasher that pays 1200 euros a month.
While the kids are out all day Ferruccio and Francis spend all day eating lobsters. Alexander wakes up at 2 pm and Francis hears him just in time to send Ferruccio away.
Stella and Philippe get some money and find that Alexandre hasn't been working. Stella gets pasta and refuses to share with Alexandre unless he earns money. Alexandre gets food poisoning from eating raw stuff outside the house and starts helping Francis to fix the house.Matthias makes Stella realize that she used to treat people badly, when a customer speaks insultingly to her. At dinners, Francis learns that Stella was anorexic for a year and lost 10 kilos. The 3 kids tell Francis that they couldn't speak to him as they always had to go through his secretary, and she would often screen their calls. Alexandre says he spent a night in jail. Philippe was in hospital for 2 weeks and Francis was in Tokyo.
Philippe had a rival rickshaw puller, who steals Philippe's clients. Eventually they become friends when they learn that they share Philippe's love for shoes. Philippe even shares his business idea with him.Slowly Francis starts to bond with his kids. Meanwhile word reaches Juan that Stella and her family is now penniless. Ferruccio tells Francis that Juan is asking questions all over the place and begs him to tell his kids the truth that the fraud was all staged. Eventually Juan reaches Francis and tells him that he knows the truth.
He tells Stella and her brothers that he has borrowed against his properties in Argentina and paid off Francis's debt. They can all go back home now. Back home Marguerite asks Francis to tell Stella the truth so that she does not marry Juan.Before Francis can tell Stella, Juan takes her to city hall to marry her. Francis rushes to stop the wedding and gets there in time. he tells his kids the truth and begs Stella not to marry Juan. Stella slaps Juan and he leaves saying that Francis will lose his kids. The kids leave as they learn that Francis saw them as nothing more than worthless bums and spoiled.The kids go live in their grandfather's house where Alexandre has opened his plumbing company. Philippe and his rickshaw mate have started selling shoes online. Ferruccio takes Francis to meet Stella on her birthday. Francis apologizes to the kids and they invite him to stay for bread and oil.
