Harvard educated lawyer Lucy Kelson, following in the footsteps of her lawyer parents, uses her career for social activism. She hides any sense of femininity behind her work. George Wade is the suave public face of the Manhattan-based Wade Corporation, a development firm that Lucy routinely opposes and whose true head is George's profit-oriented brother, Howard Wade. George, who has a reputation as a lady's man, has had as his legal counsel a series of beautiful female lawyers with questionable credentials, they who have more primarily acted as his casual sex partners. Needing a real lawyer, he offers Lucy the job of his legal counsel on a chance meeting. Despite warnings from her parents in working for the "enemy", Lucy, who has no intention of being the latest in his bed partners, accepts the job as she feels she can do more good from the inside, and as George, as part of the job offer, promises not to demolish a community center in a heritage building as part of a development project near her childhood Coney Island home where her parents still live. Although Lucy is able to effect the type of change she wanted from this position, she finds she cannot deal with George's expectations of her, namely being his primary confidante and advisor at all hours of the day and night, mostly about issues she considers frivolous. As such, she gives him two weeks notice, although she promises to help George find her replacement. As Lucy begins to review resumes, George himself unilaterally decides to hire June Carver, a fellow Harvardite, but who seems to have her sights set on George as both a boss and personal partner. As June begins to replace Lucy in seemingly all aspects of George's life, Lucy begins to realize that she herself has fallen for George. However, Lucy's feelings for George and her attempts to re-ingratiate herself into George's life are placed into jeopardy when she learns of a Wade Corporation decision against her basic sensibilities.—Huggo

It's the Christmas season. Kristin has recently started working as the Executive Assistant to Melanie Charles, the demanding President/CEO of Los Angeles based Charles Global PR. While Kristin is as demanding of herself as Melanie is of her staff in general, she would like Melanie to see her as more than just a glorified gopher. Despite being nervous about the opportunity, she may get her chance when Melanie is called away at the last minute to Boston to meet a potential new client, leaving Kristin in charge of meeting with the Ambassador of Edgemoor, its monarchy which is partnering with the company's biggest client, Dan Carson of Carson Designs, for a charity fashion show on December 23rd, proceeds going to a children's hospital. Kristin's job is basically to smooth the waters with the Ambassador and as need be Carson until Melanie returns. Upon the delegation of Edgemoor's arrival in Los Angeles, Kristin finds that it is not the Ambassador that has been sent, but rather Prince Patrick himself and his aide, Albert. Wanting to seem more important in putting the company in a good light, Kristin, following on her colleague and best friend Jill's initial play, presents herself as not an assistant but rather Melanie herself. Kristin finds that she can extend the ruse as Melanie ends up being snowed-in in Boston. On the flip side, Patrick has been sent by his father, King Frederick, to show some responsibility to his royal duties, he, in his irresponsibility, more often than not tabloid fodder in his exploits. In their time together, Patrick not only begins to show some true caring for the charity work, but also begins to have feelings for Kristin, those feelings returned by her. A happily-ever-after for them is hindered by the truth eventually coming to light, especially as Kristin's competitive colleague, Josh, if he knew what was going on, would be more than happy to expose Kristin as a fraud.—Huggo

Married Dawn and Gabe Powell founded, own and operate Cranberry Lane, the brand all things Christmas from products to services to ideas. It was borne out of Gabe being a third generation cranberry farmer - Cranberry Lane Farms - in Bristol, Maine. However the business has taken its toll on their marriage with Dawn constantly on the road focusing on expanding the brand, while Gabe remains in Bristol focusing on the farm. They have only told their family - his parents, her sister and grandmother - that they are contemplating breaking up. In their confusion over how to split what was always their joint Christmas responsibilities in Bristol, they both assumed that the other was too busy to organize this year's annual Christmas Cranberry Festival, which they started ten years ago, and thus were prepared to organize it on their own, which they instead decide to organize together. The Festival and their time together gets more complicated when Pamela Franks, a Renaissance woman who owns her own media empire, including hosting a lifestyle show on her own network, and who met Dawn on a recent segment on her show, wants to shoot some segments of the Festival for the show, those segments to focus on the happily married duo behind Cranberry Lane. They ultimately agree if only for the good of exposing the Festival to a national audience and the business it would bring to town holistically. As they pretend to be that happily married couple for the cameras and for Pamela, Dawn and Gabe may rediscover what brought them together in the first place. However, it may also expose the problem that led to their potential split in their individual lives seemingly headed in two different directions.—Huggo
