Plot Summary

Carver Bend, Connecticut gentleman resident Beck Thomas offers help and advice to popular New York TV live show host Hailee Anderson, who crashed her car into the local judge's fence on a wild drive to vent her frustration after learning on air her tycoon ex Jason Keppler is involved with someone one. The partial court condemns her to community service, endangering her deadline for the show's Manhattan Christmas special. Beck is her supervisor, in charge of the juvenile local volunteers who annually build one of the town's Christmas parade floats. Her efficiency, contrasting with his empathy and devotion, overcomes her trauma-rooted lack of Christmas spirit, and a romance builds, but time is running out as his youth center is likely to be scrapped for development, unable to pay unexpected cost rises unless it wins the $15,000 first prize for the best float.—KGF Vissers
