The Pastor (2025)

In this quirky comedy Shepherd is a struggling door-to-door freeze-dried pet salesman, who lives alone with his ailing mother. He is harassed at work by his mentally challenged boss, while his nearly catatonic mother sits at home, addicted to televangelists and prescription drugs. Her monetary contribution to these TV "pastors" is draining them financially dry. Their family physician urges Shepherd to find his mother some excitement before she slips away. When Shepherd loses his job he hits the road with his mother and their two neighbors, Annamari-ah (Maria-Elena Laas) and her father (Danny Trejo), to attend the End Times Revival Event!—Anonymous

The Pastor and the Pro (2018)

This film is based on the story of Pastor Martin Neimuller, who was sent to Dachau concentration camp for criticizing the Nazi party. The small German village of Altdorf in the 1930s has to come to terms with Chancellor Hitler and the arrival of a platoon of Stormtroopers. The Stormtroopers go about teaching and enforcing "The New Order" but Pastor Hall is a kind and gentle man who won't be cowed. Some villagers join the Nazi party avidly, some just go along with things, hoping for a quiet life, but Pastor Hall takes his convictions to the pulpit.—Steve Crook
